The biggest hero of them all is Djinn Buckingham. He has gone through a hellish nightmare now
for over three years. He has been put through much mental and physical anguish and pain.
Many tears he has shed. He has been put through all of this and has had to go through it all
by himself, without family to help him through the rough spots. This world is a much sadder
place without Sierra here, she was a special little girl who died long before her time. Djinn
tried to get her out of the fire that night in December 2005, but was unable too. He has had
to live with her memory since then, but to lay the blame on a twelve year old child who loved her
 like a sister and cherished every moment with her is wrong, especially when the evidence is
there supporting the fact that Djinn didn't set the fire but the evidence was not investigated
by the public defender's office due to the lack of funds and not believing in what Djinn had to
the public defender hired by the court to act as his attorney during court procedings.
This is a wrong that should be righted, we all have the opportunity to do so.

This quote from Djinn is something I will never forget and shows how special he
really is.....After Djinn's older sister Kat dyed his hair fuscia and black and it had all
faded to pink, everybody was razzing him about it....his quote was "Hey, I'm man enough
to sport pink hair." Knowing Djinn, he probably would have liked Orange or Green better.

Djinn Oakstar Rayn Buckingham was born March 19, 1993 in Douglas, AZ. He was a very
happy & healthy baby who was extremely attached to his mother. He always had a smile & could
brighten up a room just by entering it. He was very protective of his mother & sisters from a
very early age. This was probably because he was the 'man' of the family. He did have some
sibling rivalry with his sisters (especially Kyla), but not anything that would be considered anything
but normal. Actually, since Kyla & Djinn are only 13 months difference in age, it would have been
abnormal if they didn't fight some. There were some concerns not long after he started school.
He had a great amount of trouble with learning basic reading & writing. He never had a very long
attention span, which also caused him problems. In third grade, he was diagnosed with mild
dyslexia, problems controlling his temper and ADHD. From that time until the tragic fire,
 December 2005, he struggled with school. Other than his school issues, Djinn has always been
a very spirited boy. He is extremely athletic. He loves skateboarding, snowboarding and go
carts. He loves to draw and write poetry. He loves music and has even written some songs
of his own. Most of all, he loves his family and misses them very much.

This is a beautiful poem Rainbow Buckingham (Djinn's mother) received from Djinn for
Mother's Day, 2007, while he was incarcerated at the Abraxas Youth Center. This poem is
very deep and nothing has been changed, even the misspelled words are being left, to show
that Djinn is a very special young man, in many ways.

Fear makes us awer, it keeps us alive

Though we hate the scare, without fear we die

To live without fear is to be lifeless

It means death is neer, if you are fearless

whoever you are, you will be afraid

but be prepard for it can be depraved

What happens when life gets deep.

when life gets so hard you can barly breeth

Do you discontinue to strive?

Do you simply give up on life?

When your hardships are so grave

and your life is impossible to save

what do you do when hope is shatrerd

like glass hitting the floor with a clatre

what should your chois of action be

when you must get yourself free

from the sakles of discuragment

I say shine like a Cristmas ornament

whatever your told you can always acheev

you can only do it if you believe

in all the copetences you do have

and don't divote energy on being sad

Is the glass half empty or half full?

if you say empty your life is bound to be cruel

focus on the good and consider the bad

if you focus on negativity you'll go mad

you should reach for the moon

if you miss you'll grab the stars

if you do all you can do
