 WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING...

"I feel really sorry for Djinn."

"Bring Djinn  home."

"Hopefully, one day we will all know what truly happened in Djinn's arson-murder case."

"Thank you for all your information on Justice for djinn.org."

"I just found your website, and it is great. I'm very excited someone else feels like I do."

"People for the justice for Djinn Buckinghasm  need to form an alliance bigger and stronger than the people trying to cover up the truth."

"Really like what you have done and the way you have separated some of the facts...people can digest it in the category it is intended."

"Given the fact that Djinn was socially under developed regardless of the cause, he would be expected to fare much worse than an average child placed under the same stress."

"My family has always given me a hard time about being Djinn's friend, among others who are compelled without really knowing why they are so against him, all they know, is they just feel such anger towards him is because it's socially acceptable to do so. It angers me that no one will give him the chance everyone deserves. Fate brought us together, and as an adult now, I can choose whether to turn my nose and forget him, I don't want to, I can't! He left an imprint on my heart, and I think of him everyday. It brings tears to my eyes that I can't give him a hug.......All I want is to see his beautiful smiling face once again."

"I don't understand why a young child would be held accountable, when clearly he has disabilities and was overmedicated by our wonderfful system instead for realizing that the terrible is tragedy that this family has been through is clearly the fault of the county not caring enough to understand that the decision they made for Djinn was to drug him so they didn't have to teach him and take the extra time needed to care for his needs. He had been so terribly confused when I last saw him the night of the incident and this was due to the new meds he was given by his menal health provider. We made this child take drugs that altered his moods and perceptions of his normal reactions to things that happened and made him pay a high price to cover the fact that the state provided no help or understanding where responsible for his actions by forcing his mother to medicate Djinn with such high doses, most adults could not act or think straight...Djinn is an innocent child with disabilities that did not and does not deserve any punishment. He did everything he could to save the life of his relative he loved so very much. There are many tragedies here, but to make a child serve time for something there is no evidence showing he committed the act, only a confession that was given under duress, is a travesty. I am ashamed to live in a county and a state that sanctions such activity by it's law enforcement and court systems. "

"Djinn loved Sierra like his little sister and he wouldn't put his family in jeopardy for anything. Djinn and Sierra hung out all the time. Whenever Sierra wanted to hang out or go somewhere, he would go with her just to make sure she was ok. He devoted his heart to his family and would do everything he could to help them. Djinn tried so very hard to be helpful, in spite of his disabilities. I remember one day how he spent several hours working on a present for his mom made out of dried cactus spine, crystals and stones. He was and is such a great kid and did not and does not deserve the pain he has and is being subjected to each and every day by this. Djinn is innocent, he should have and should be free!   Excerpts from a personal email received from Dezera.".

"Sierra's death caused much disturbance inside Djinn, the poor kid probably just plead guilty because he just felt guilty that he couldn't save her! There is a growing throng of people in Monroe County who feel Djinn is innocent and was coersed into confessing and pleading, just like he says....now what has to be done is proving that in a court of law."
"Djinn is a very complex child, capable of running a gambit of emotions, in a very short span of time. He is a very loving child, who wants to be loved. Djinn also has a volitile temper, and is quick to anger, which has caused him many painful hours in restraints. He is just a child, acting out, begging for someone to listen to him and/or his feelings. Since Djinn's incarceration and adjudication, everyone has done what they feel is the best course of action for him, and not thought of asking him, how he feels and/or considering his emotional and physical well being. Sierra's death caused severe stress upon Djinn and sent him into emotional overload, he has been unable to deal with that loss, and will be unable to let that part of his life go, until he can go to where Sierra's ashes are scattered, and let her spiritual energy go free. Djinn also saw many things in his younger childhood, no child should see, be subject or party to. This has also caused him much anguish, which he is unable to let go of. Djinn continues to state he did not start the fire the night in which his cousin Sierra was killed. He also continues to state there was no argument between him and any other family member before the fire. There is much physical evidence showing these things to be true, yet was not entered into evidence, which shows much malice on behalf of the Prosecutors (Monroe County District Attorney's Office) to hide the real truth in Djinn's case. He has been called by State Police as being a "habitual firestarter,"  nothing could be further from the truth! I have had the pleasure of working with Djinn, he is a very special young man, who is in need of help with the emotional baggage he holds inside. He should be receiving counseling for those issues, not for the firestarting issues he has been proclaimed to possess. I firmly believe Djinn is innocent, and did not set the fire that night. He is just a needy child seeking the love and affection from those who profess to care about him. Djinn has issues that need to be resolved, he needs intensive counseling, on an outpatient basis. He does not deserve to be isolated and restricted, receiving rehabilitation for a crime he did not commit. He should be with his family, and those who truely love him! . "(Used by permission)

"I met Djinn while we were both undergoing Diagnostics at Laurel Youth. He used to draw and write poems in between sessions and testing, many of those poems and drawings, he gave me, to remember him by, I can never forget Djinn, he has left a mark on my soul that can never be erased. Many of the guards and staff used to love to get Djinn upset and in tears, by telling him how bad the center was that he was going to go to after his sentencing, and some of the things he would be subjected to there. I was sent to another facility and was unable to contact him. After my release, I felt like checking into many of the things he told me about. I have, and I know Djinn is innocent, he is a very lonely kid who needs love, he and I were good friends, I cared about him, I care now even more. This website is so right with everything! I hope more people will start to try to understand the real Djinn and not the hyped up version the media has made him out to be."
